Bright Matter S&E acquires Boston Shamrocks Girls

Bright Matter Sports & Entertainment today announced the addition of the Boston Shamrocks Girls program to their portfolio.

This is the third owner/operator transaction in the year for the sports management company that founded the Boston Imperials (2019) and Boston Hockey Academy (2020). They also ran an Imperials girls program for 3 seasons from 2020-2022.

We promise to honor the legacy of what came before and at the same time build and implement our elevated platform for student-athletes and participants across all our programs," noted Dennis Franczak, CEO.

Shamrocks girls founder Bob Rotondo noted, "I've worked with the team at Bright Matter Sports & Entertainment for a few years now dating back to 2019 and I find them professional, strong communicators and focused on the experience for the players. I'm happy to be joining the team and lend my 40 years of experience to them."

The Boston Shamrocks will launch a new website (www.boston-shamrocks.com) and are adding players at both Tier 1 and Tier 2 for the 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U age groups. They also will be announcing their girls 10U and 8U foundations program for the fall within the next few weeks.

Announced new coaches to the program include Alexa Hingston (Malden Catholic), Nikki Petrich (Canton High School), Mark Russo (Arlington High School), and Natalie Flynn (Arlington Catholic). The current staff are currently in discussions about new roles in the organization.

Lisa DeRosa, Director of Program Operations for Bright Matter Sports & Entertainment will assume the role of interim program director until a new director is named within the next 2 weeks.
